Nevertheless, reading the criticism of that show is making me feel so bad for it! D: I was trying to look up some facts to figure out the timeline (I am reading a novel right now that jumps from Enterprise-time to post-Nemesis every few chapters) and as I am reading it (just trying to get the bare bones of what happened) the wiki-author keeps dropping these little comments about how this story arc "was not well recieved" or this "was largely considered a bad move by fans and critics alike."
( For example )
T_T Poor Enterprise.
And they really go on a rant about the last episode of Enterprise. Which admittedly sucked for a couple of reasons. But still. In my opinion, Enterprise was actually really good sci-fi. Just not good Trek. Compare it to whatever crap is on "ScyFy" right now and I would pick Enterprise every time. But compare it to TNG or VOY, and that's where it looks like a joke.
EDIT: OMG I just remembered the NAZI plotline!!! BWAHAHAHAHA. Oh, Enterprise. WTF.

The above report sounds like bullshit. I eat 800 calories a day, 1000 if I indulge. That's all I need. If I ate 2900 calories a day I'd need a belly support wheel. And a pacemaker.
And probably my head examined.
Besides, there is no obesity epidemic. You really can't catch being fat from contact with a fat person, as if obesity were a virus; only from stuffing a lot of food and retaining water.
And that is a choice. A lifestyle. Based on what? Conditioning. Conditioning by what?
Look around you. TV adverts, newspapers, billboards.
The public have the answer. They just don't know how to implement it, not when the food is just too good, and those adverts are so persuasive ...

To which list I'd have to add Alexander's First and Second Corollaries:-
Corollary the First: None of the above.
Corollary the Second: Yes, it could be even worse: you could be victorious and survive the battle.

Days of Our Lives - I'd forgotten how slowly storylines can go on Days. And whoever found the twins who are playing baby Sydney should get a raise. Them and the editor(s), who keep cutting to Sydney to show her reacting in some adorable way. That little girl was the best thing about Thursday's episode, totally stealing every scene she was in. Not much else happened, so I look forward to next week, when things are supposed to actually happen.
TNA Impact! - TNA is calling the impending debut of Hulk Hogan (and possibly Ric Flair) "The New Direction". I... yeah. The six-man tag the Motor City Machinegunz had with Amazing Red was good, but short. (And I was creeped out by Don West managing Red, since Red looks so ridiculously young.) I don't think I'll be bothering with TNA again for awhile. (Except for the action figures. I would love MMG action figures.)
Melrose Place 2.0 - It was better than last week's episode. Which isn't saying much, I know. Michael was back (and was awesome) and Violet wore a ruffled trash bag. ( Read more... )
One Life to Live - I'm so disappointed they haven't titled one of the recent episodes "The Long Night", because this is the night that never ends, people. It's still Election Day night if I'm figuring correctly. No, wait. Friday's episode is the morning after the night that would not end. ( Read more... )
or if not, does anyone know where i can find such experiences about the wildlands studies program? i'm very interested to hear what former participants have to say about their experiences.

Pairing: Clyde/Luke.
Summary: A long time ago, Clyde made an offhand comment. Something Luke still remembers. And fears.
Disclaimer: Not owning any of this.
Author’s Note: So yeah. Gave in. Wrote Clyde/Luke. I give up avoiding pairings and getting sucked into things. And honestly, this is set during 1.04, at the end, just before Maria, her mum and her dad come charging in. But, look, it’s just kissing... No harm in that :)
Author’s Note Mark II: I DON’T HAVE A CLYDE/LUKE ICON!! THIS IS NOT ON :( SO I HAVE TO USE CHLOE IN ALL HER PRETTY NON-SARAH JANENESS =( I’M SAD NOW.
(Does anyone else's LJ posting thingy keep going into HTML instead of Rich Text? Coz this is driving me nutty.)
